Applications are invited for the position of Research and Policy Associate to support  Parliamentary and Legislative Researcher in legislative, policy, and data-driven work. This is a high-responsibility role involving close engagement with parliamentary processes, public policy formulation, and evidence-based governance.

The position is ideal for candidates who combine strong research and writing skills with a clear understanding of governance and legislative functioning, and who are comfortable working in fast-paced, outcome-oriented environments.

Remuneration: Commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth research on public policy issues, government schemes, and legislative matters
• Prepare policy briefs, background notes, and analytical reports for parliamentary use
• Analyse and interpret scheme-level data from ministries and departments
• Draft speeches, talking points, responses, and parliamentary material
• Track parliamentary business including bills, questions, and committee work
• Liaise with government officials, institutions, and stakeholders for information gathering
• Maintain structured documentation of research, correspondence, and submissions
• Lead and coordinate a team of interns supporting research and reporting

Eligibility and Skills
• Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, or related discipline
• Strong understanding of governance, legislation, and policy analysis
• Excellent research, drafting, and data interpretation skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis tools
• Strong organisational and communication abilities
• Prior experience in public policy, government, or parliamentary affairs preferred
