About the Fellowship
The MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded international program designed to prepare young people to create sustainable, community driven impact in the fields of education, health and economic security. The fellowship builds leadership capacity by helping participants understand local challenges, design solutions and implement action oriented initiatives with guided mentorship.
About the Program Structure
The fellowship consists of three core phases:
1. Community Needs Assessment Phase
A one month exercise where fellows map and analyse the needs of their communities. This phase equips participants aged 18 to 26 with the skills to understand ground realities, identify gaps and prepare context specific interventions.
2. 10 Day Intensive In Person Training (USA)
Fellows attend a training program that combines workshops, expert interactions and project development sessions. This immersive training is focused on leadership, community development, project design and social impact strategy.
3. 10 Month Action Plan Phase
After returning home, fellows work for ten months on the implementation of their action plans. They receive continuous virtual mentorship from MCW alumni and subject experts throughout this period.
