Call for Book Chapters | Apply by 20 December 2025

Bentham Science (Scopus indexed) has announced a call for book chapters for an upcoming edited volume titled Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology and Digital Health: Challenges for Contemporary Health Laws. The book aims to examine how rapid technological advancements are transforming the regulatory landscape in healthcare and creating complex legal, ethical and policy challenges that demand rigorous scholarly engagement.

This publication seeks contributions from legal scholars, researchers, medical law experts, policymakers, technologists, data governance specialists and interdisciplinary professionals working at the frontiers of law, health and technology. The objective is to provide a comprehensive understanding of how AI, biotechnology and digital health innovations are reshaping public health systems, patient rights, medical liability, data governance and global regulatory structures.

Authors may submit chapters on a wide range of topics including but not limited to:

  • Ethical and legal concerns surrounding machine learning in clinical decision making

  • Gene editing technologies, bioethics and emerging biosecurity frameworks

  • Telemedicine regulations and challenges in cross border health data transfer

  • Governance of wearable medical devices and algorithmic monitoring

  • Regulatory sandboxes and experimental frameworks for health innovation

  • Intellectual property issues in AI trained biomedical datasets

  • Digital therapeutics, remote care and standards of medical negligence

  • Cybersecurity of health infrastructure and risk allocation

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract length: 300 to 500 words

  • Work must be original and not submitted elsewhere

  • Submissions will undergo editorial review based on relevance, clarity and scholarly contribution

  • Editorial decision: 28 December 2025

  • Full paper submission: 20 January 2026
