Volunteer Opportunity | Apply by 15 December 2025 | Support a Community Campaign Addressing Knife Crime

A community initiative working to reduce knife crime is inviting applications from committed and socially conscious volunteers who can contribute time and skills on an ad hoc basis. These roles are particularly suitable for students or individuals seeking meaningful experience in public-interest work, community engagement and digital communication.

The campaign focuses on awareness building, community mobilisation and preventive engagement. Volunteers will play an important part in strengthening the campaign’s outreach, digital presence and accessibility.

Two positions are currently open:

Social Media Volunteer
This position is ideal for someone who has experience creating digital content and working with online engagement tools. Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with Instagram content creation are preferred. Responsibilities will include preparing posts, assisting with online awareness efforts, organising content calendars and supporting digital visibility for the initiative.
Mode of work: Remote.

Website Support Volunteer
This role is suitable for individuals with some background in IT, website maintenance or digital support. Responsibilities include updating web pages, troubleshooting minor issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of online campaign resources.
Mode of work: Remote or West Midlands, depending on availability.

Both roles offer flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while gaining practical experience and exposure to social impact work.
