The Competition Commission of India has announced a major hiring drive for the position of Young Professional in the field of law. This recruitment is a significant opportunity for early-career legal professionals looking to build expertise in competition regulation, market studies, enforcement, mergers, and policy analysis under the Competition Act, 2002.
The engagement is on a contractual basis and offers structured exposure to case analysis, legal research, drafting, and advisory assistance for the Commission’s ongoing investigations and regulatory functions. Selected candidates may be posted in Delhi, Mumbai, or Chennai depending on administrative requirements.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Requirements
• LL.B degree from a recognized university
• Eligibility to register as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961
Desirable Qualifications
• Specialization in competition law, regulatory law, intellectual property, international trade law, corporate law, or financial law
• Experience with legal work before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Tribunals, or regulatory bodies
• Teaching or academic engagement in competition law
• Experience with corporate transactions, merger filings, antitrust compliance, or regulatory advisory
Age Limit
• Up to 30 years as on the date of advertisement
Salary and Experience
• Monthly remuneration: INR 60000
• Annual increment: 10 percent
• Experience up to 3 years is preferred
Scope of Work
Young Professionals will support the Commission on a range of legal and regulatory assignments. The work involves examination of cases, preparation of briefs, analysis of antitrust issues, research on market conduct, assistance in merger review processes, drafting notes and legal submissions, and supporting quasi-judicial proceedings.
