
About the Opportunity
A leading and internationally recognised law firm in Luxembourg has opened an exclusive mandate for the position of Counsel within its real estate practice. This is a senior strategic role designed for an experienced lawyer with the ability to lead complex mandates, structure cross border transactions and supervise a team of lawyers within a high performing practice.
The firm is known for advising prominent financial institutions, investment funds and global corporates on sophisticated real estate matters. The Counsel will be expected to bring both technical excellence and leadership capability, contributing to the continued growth and refinement of the firm’s real estate offering.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing high value and complex real estate transactions, including share deals, asset acquisitions, financing structures and corporate real estate matters. The position requires strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, together with the ability to work closely with international financial players and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and structure sophisticated real estate transactions
• Draft, review and negotiate key documentation, including SPA, SHA, financing agreements and transaction related contracts
• Supervise and mentor a team of lawyers and contribute to their professional development
• Act as a strategic advisor to international clients across the financial and investment sectors
• Manage share deals with confidence while maintaining readiness to broaden expertise across other real estate segments
• Ensure high quality client service, adherence to timelines and seamless coordination between different internal practice groups
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant should:
• Be an experienced real estate lawyer with demonstrated capability to lead complex matters
• Possess deep understanding of share deals, transactional structuring and cross border financial elements
• Be able to supervise junior lawyers and manage client expectations effectively
• Demonstrate strong drafting skills, commercial awareness and strategic thinking
• Have interest in expanding expertise across multiple dimensions of real estate law
