HubSpot’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Legal team is expanding and is currently inviting applications for two senior level positions. Both roles involve high responsibility, strategic contribution and direct engagement with complex privacy, cybersecurity and regulatory matters across global operations. 1. Senior Manager, Privacy Program

Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading HubSpot’s privacy compliance and governance program. It requires oversight of the organisation’s privacy maturity scoring, developing governance frameworks, and managing external third party certifications. The Senior Manager will also guide and expand the company’s privacy and data governance platforms, ensuring that operational, legal and technical teams work within a cohesive compliance structure.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and develop the company wide privacy governance program
• Oversee privacy maturity assessments and prepare improvement plans
• Lead third party certification processes and related audit cycles
• Guide implementation and evolution of privacy and data governance tools
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, product and legal teams on privacy controls
• Ensure continual alignment with global data protection laws and standards
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in privacy program management, strong understanding of operational privacy frameworks, familiarity with certification bodies, and the ability to translate legal requirements into practical compliance processes.
2. Lead Counsel, Privacy

Role Overview
This is a senior counsel role requiring leadership across complex regulatory, advisory and compliance matters. The Lead Counsel will oversee regulatory initiatives, advise on high stakes privacy and cybersecurity questions, manage responses to regulators, and handle escalations from enterprise customers. A significant part of the role relates to emerging risks, particularly around AI, data governance and cross border regulatory developments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead major regulatory matters and manage regulatory communications
• Handle customer escalations and draft responses on sensitive privacy issues
• Provide strategic guidance on emerging AI related legal and regulatory risks
• Support horizon scanning to anticipate and advise on privacy developments globally
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen privacy compliance and risk management
• Advise product and engineering teams on privacy and cybersecurity issues
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have strong experience in privacy law, regulatory engagement, advisory work on complex data protection issues, and the ability to provide business aligned legal guidance in high pressure situations.
