The London School of Economics and Political Science is inviting applications for a Research Assistant position based in Paris. The role supports ongoing research at the intersection of urban economics and economic history, focusing on how large-scale sanitation investments shaped the economic development of modern Paris throughout the 19th century.

Position Details
Salary: €15 per hour
Total Compensation: Up to €3000
Location: Paris
Start: Early January 2026
Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours per week, totalling around 200 hours between January and March 2026
Eligibility
• Must be based in Paris
• Working proficiency in French and English
• Background in social science or any related area
• Open to applicants at all academic levels
• Tasks may be adjusted based on the selected candidate’s qualifications
