About the Organisation:
The European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) works to strengthen and support National Human Rights Institutions across Europe. Based in Brussels, ENNHRI engages with regional human rights mechanisms, supports democratic resilience, and contributes to the protection of civic space and the rule of law. The Secretariat plays a central role in coordinating the work of member institutions, providing research, advocacy, and legal support at the European level.
Eligibility:

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Strong familiarity with European human rights and policy frameworks.

Experience working on democracy, rule of law, and civic space in Europe.

Excellent organisational, writing, and communication skills.

Professional-level English proficiency.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable: experience with NHRIs, international organisations, membership bodies, IT skills, and additional languages.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Coordinating work on European human rights conventions, including ENNHRI’s interventions before the European Court of Human Rights.

Supporting work on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and annual rule of law reporting.

Contributing to initiatives on democracy, Human Rights Defenders, and civic space.

Facilitating exchanges among members, including ENNHRI’s Legal Working Group.

Collecting and analysing information on members’ needs, expertise, and capacities.

Monitoring European-level developments and supporting related advocacy.

Working closely with ENNHRI members, Secretariat colleagues, GANHRI, and external partners.

Participating in occasional travel within Europe.
