About the Opportunity
The Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association (HIALSA), in collaboration with the Harvard International Law Journal (HILJ), has announced its call for submissions for short-form scholarship in international commercial and investment arbitration. This initiative invites global practitioners and scholars to contribute concise, high-quality analytical pieces aimed at advancing dialogue in the arbitration field. Selected submissions will be published by both HIALSA and HILJ Online.

Eligibility

  • Professionals with at least five years of post-law-degree experience in international arbitration

  • Single authorship only

  • Submissions must be written in English

  • Word limit between 500 and 2,500 words

  • Original academic commentary, case analysis, or regional highlights relevant to arbitration

Roles and Responsibilities (for Contributors)

  • Draft and submit a well-researched, original short-form piece

  • Ensure compliance with all formatting and authorship requirements

  • Provide a resume along with the manuscript

  • Engage meaningfully with contemporary issues in international arbitration
