SpicyIP has announced a range of opportunities for law students and young professionals interested in Intellectual Property Law. From competitions to educational resources, these initiatives offer avenues for research, writing, policy analysis, and learning directly from experts in the field. The opportunities span national competitions, blog-writing awards, panel discussions, and curated guidance on building a career in IP.
Eligibility
These opportunities are open to:

Law students (UG and PG)

Young legal researchers

IP enthusiasts

Individuals considering LLM or PhD pathways in IP
Each component has its own specific requirements, but all are centered around interest and engagement in IP law.
Roles and Responsibilities
Depending on the opportunity chosen, participants may be required to:

National Policy Brief Competition (SpicyIP x CIPAM, DPIIT)

Analyse one of the two policy problem statements.

Draft a structured policy brief with recommendations.

Submit the entry before the deadline.

SpicyIP–jhana Blogpost Competition

Identify a recent Indian IP law development.

Conduct research (including via jhana’s platform).

Write and submit a publishable blogpost.

Panel Discussion: Higher Studies in IP (LLM and PhD)

Watch the recorded session.

Engage by submitting follow-up questions if needed.
