About MNLU Nagpur & the Centre for Gender Justice Studies
Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Nagpur, established by the Government of Maharashtra in 2014, is committed to excellence in legal education and the holistic development of socially responsible legal professionals.
The Centre for Gender Justice Studies, led by Prof. (Dr.) Shilpa Jain, focuses on addressing emerging rights of diverse genders, fostering interdisciplinary research, and contributing meaningfully to the global discourse on gender justice.
Conference Objective
Gender equality is a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for a peaceful, sustainable, and prosperous society. Despite constitutional guarantees and global commitments like SDG 5, discrimination and prejudice persist. The 2nd National Conference aims to critically engage with these issues, fostering dialogue on gender justice across law, technology, art, health, economics, and environment.
