About:
The University of Bradford is offering a fully-funded PhD studentship focused on Gender Inclusive Climate Change Governance (GenCGov). This multidisciplinary research project explores the intersections of climate justice and gender equality, aiming to develop tools, strategies, and frameworks for fairer political and legal systems. The studentship is part of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.
Eligibility:

Passion for climate justice, gender equality, and interdisciplinary research.

Background in law, public policy, climate governance, development studies, social sciences, environmental studies, public health, feminist or decolonial research, or related fields.

Ability to conduct rigorous research, engage with communities, and produce academic and policy outputs.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Conduct research on climate justice for women and vulnerable groups.

Examine regulatory frameworks, climate litigation, and access to resources.

Develop strategies and policy instruments for inclusive climate governance.

Disseminate findings through publications, presentations, and conferences.

Contribute to a collaborative, multi-country research project.
Funding:

Tuition fees fully covered for UK students.

Tax-free stipend of £20,780 per year for living costs.

International students are welcome but must cover the difference in tuition fees.
