Invitation to Participate – 1st FairSquare NLU Delhi National Essay Competition

FairSquare, in collaboration with Axiom5 Law Chambers LLP and the Centre for Competition Law and Economics (CCLE), is organizing the 1st FairSquare NLU Delhi Essay Competition on the theme “Contemporary and Emerging Issues in Competition Law and Policy.” The competition aims to promote rigorous legal research and critical engagement with evolving challenges in competition law, particularly within the digital economy. It provides a platform for students and researchers to present original perspectives and contribute meaningfully to policy and academic discourse in this rapidly transforming field.

About FairSquare

FairSquare is the first Competition Law Society of the National Law University, Delhi. Through FairSquare Dialogue, we aim to create a vibrant forum for commentary, analysis, and scholarship on competition law, policy, and economics.

Eligibility
Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate law students enrolled in any recognized Indian university. Individual authorship only.

Submission Guidelines

  • Word Limit: 2,500–3,000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Citation Format: OSCOLA (4th Edition)
  • Similarity Limit: Below 15%
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.15; footnotes size 10, single spacing
  • Only original, unpublished submissions will be considered

Timeline 

  • Announcement of Competition: 8th November 2025
  • Deadline for Registration: 30th November 2025
  • Deadline for Submission: 8th December 2025
  • Declaration of Results: 25th December 2025
