Reuters, one of the world’s leading global news organizations, is inviting applications for its Summer 2026 Internship Program in Dakar, Senegal. This is a paid 12-week internship designed to give aspiring journalists hands-on newsroom experience, mentorship, and opportunities to publish in-depth stories with global reach.
Eligibility:

Open to students or recent graduates with a strong interest in journalism, international affairs, or media studies.

Excellent writing, research, and storytelling skills.

Prior experience in reporting, internships, or student media is an added advantage.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural newsroom.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Work under the guidance of a Senior Editor (mentor) throughout the internship.

Participate in formal newsroom training and coaching sessions.

Pitch, research, and produce in-depth stories and multimedia features.

Contribute to Reuters’ coverage of major regional and global issues.
