A London-based technology company is looking to hire a Senior Privacy Counsel / Data Protection Officer (DPO). This role offers a hybrid work model, with 1 day per week in-office, and a competitive salary of £135k–£140k.

Eligibility:

Qualified Lawyer (essential)
Strong knowledge of data protection, privacy laws, and compliance frameworks
Experience advising on privacy strategy and regulatory matters

Roles and Responsibilities:

Act as the Data Protection Officer and lead the company’s privacy compliance program
Advise internal stakeholders on data protection, privacy risks, and regulatory obligations
Draft, review, and implement privacy policies, procedures, and contracts
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure adherence to applicable laws
Provide guidance on data subject rights, privacy impact assessments, and audits
