The MIT Center for International Studies (CIS) is inviting applications for two Postdoctoral Associate positions for the academic year 2026–27. The fellowship is designed for outstanding early-career scholars conducting policy-relevant research in global development and related areas. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2026, for one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a PhD (earned after September 1, 2023) in one of the following or related disciplines: Political Science, Environmental Science, Sociology, Anthropology, History, Economics, Psychology, or Computer Science.

Must demonstrate exceptional scholarly achievement and a strong commitment to policy-relevant research in international studies.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with the Center’s mission.

Contribute to policy discussions, seminars, and interdisciplinary projects.

Present findings in conferences and support ongoing academic initiatives at MIT CIS.
