The Immigration Practice at The Bronx Defenders is expanding and inviting applications for several positions, including Legal Director, Supervising Attorneys (one temporary/remote position available), Staff Attorneys, and Immigration Civil Legal Advocates. The Bronx Defenders is nationally recognized for its holistic approach to public defense, dedicated to protecting immigrant communities facing detention, criminalization, and family separation.
Eligibility:

Law degree and relevant U.S. bar admission (for attorney roles).

Demonstrated experience in immigration law, public defense, or immigrant rights advocacy.

Commitment to social justice, client-centered advocacy, and collaborative team work.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide direct representation to immigrant New Yorkers in removal proceedings and related civil matters.

Supervise and mentor legal staff in case strategy, advocacy, and holistic defense.

Engage in systemic advocacy, community outreach, and policy reform initiatives.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive legal and social support to clients.
