About the Opportunity
The Journal of International Economic Law (JIEL), published by Oxford University Press, is widely recognized as the leading journal in the field of international economic law. With the 5-year term of the current Co-Editors-in-Chief coming to an end, applications and nominations are now open for the position of Editor-in-Chief (individual or co-editors).
Eligibility

Open to senior scholars and professionals in the field of international economic law

Consideration will be given to individual applicants as well as joint proposals for co-editors

Prior editorial experience and a strong academic or professional reputation are desirable
Roles and Responsibilities

Overseeing editorial direction and maintaining the journal’s reputation for academic excellence

Coordinating with Oxford University Press, editorial boards, and contributors

Managing peer review processes and ensuring timely publication

Supporting the journal’s annual board meeting and editorial assistant (stipend provided by OUP)
Term of Appointment

Five years, beginning summer 2026

The position itself is not remunerated, though OUP provides an annual stipend for an editorial assistant and a budget for the annual board meeting
