About the Fellowship
The Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology is inviting applications for its 2026 fellowship programme under the project “Change in and through Law – Digital Transformation and Climate Change”, directed by Roland Broemel, Mareike Schmidt, and Angela Schwerdtfeger.

This year’s theme focuses on “Complexity as a Topic of Law”. The fellowship provides a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and research at the intersection of law, digitalisation, and climate change.

Eligibility

  • Open to researchers from all disciplines and at all career stages

  • Applicants should propose their own research projects relevant to the annual theme
