About the Project
Muhammad Dan Suleiman is recruiting a research assistant for a project on West African security and politics. This is a remote-first, part-time contract with hands-on research experience, mentorship, and opportunities for publications and international exposure.
Eligibility
-
PhD in International Relations, Security, or related fields with publications, or
-
Master’s degree with an exceptional research record
-
Based in West Africa
-
Strong skills in literature/systematic reviews, policy analysis, OSINT, qualitative (interviews, coding) and/or quantitative/data methods
-
Excellent English; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is an advantage
Roles and Responsibilities
-
Conduct literature and policy reviews, data collection, interview scheduling, and transcription
-
Draft memos, briefing notes, and sections for articles or chapters
-
Assist with ethics, field coordination, and mentorship of other researchers
