About the Role:
The Leverhulme Centre for Humanity and Space (LCHS), based at Space Park Leicester, is inviting applications for up to six Research Associate positions. With £10 million funding over ten years, the Centre is pioneering an interdisciplinary approach to space through the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Successful candidates will develop independent projects aligned with one or more research strands: living and working in space; peace, security and governance; sustainability, development and fairness; and communication, representation and experience.
Eligibility:

PhD in a relevant arts, humanities, or social science discipline.

Early-stage academic career with strong research potential.

Demonstrated record of independent research (publications/presentations).

Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and space-related themes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Conduct original, interdisciplinary research within LCHS strands.

Develop innovative methodologies and outputs.
-
Collaborate with scientists, start-ups, and policy partners at Space Park Leicester.
-
Contribute to Centre events, outreach, and knowledge exchange.

Work on-site at least 60% of the time, with flexible arrangements available.
