About
The Macquarie University Environmental Law Research Centre (ELRC), in collaboration with the OHCHR Regional Office for the Pacific, is organising an International Conference on Securing Justice for the Planet: Opportunities for, and barriers to, course correction. The conference will be held on 18–19 March 2026 at the Wallumattagal Campus, Macquarie University, Sydney.
Eligibility
This call is open to academics, practitioners, policy experts, students, and other stakeholders engaged in the fields of environmental law, human rights, and sustainability. Submissions highlighting Indigenous knowledge, intersectionality, legal pluralism, and Global South perspectives are strongly encouraged.
Roles and Responsibilities

Submit an abstract for consideration in the conference programme.

Present research or practice-based insights at the conference.

Engage with global experts to discuss the roles of states, institutions, businesses, civil society, and communities in advancing planetary justice.

Interested participants must submit their abstracts by 7 November 2025.
