Newcastle Law School, part of a world-class research-intensive university, is seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Lecturer in Family Law. Eligibility
Applicants should be passionate researchers in Family Law whose work addresses socially relevant and future-facing issues. The ability to teach Family Law and at least one of the foundational legal knowledge subjects is essential. A willingness to collaborate across legal fields and disciplines is highly desirable. The School particularly welcomes applicants from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to broaden perspectives in research and education.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality, impactful research in Family Law.

  • Deliver teaching in Family Law and at least one foundational legal knowledge subject.

  • Contribute to the School’s values-driven approach to legal scholarship and education.

  • Collaborate across disciplines and with partners to address contemporary challenges.

  • Actively support the School’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
