Opportunity for Head of Privacy – Leading Global Business

About the Role
Lawrence Harvey is seeking a highly experienced professional to join a leading global business as Head of Privacy. This brand-new position reports directly to the Chief Privacy Officer and will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the organisation’s global data protection strategy. The role provides an opportunity to lead privacy initiatives across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, while fostering a strong culture of privacy and compliance within the organisation.

Eligibility

Minimum 8 years’ experience in privacy, including leading global functions across multiple regions (UK, EU, US, and ideally Middle East and APAC).
Strong stakeholder management skills, with proven experience engaging at C-suite and executive levels.
Prior experience managing and mentoring a team of privacy specialists.
Hands-on expertise in conducting risk assessments, reviewing DPIAs, and strengthening compliance frameworks.
Experience in designing and delivering privacy training and awareness programmes.
Familiarity with OneTrust is essential.
Multilingual candidates will be preferred, though not mandatory.
A legal qualification is not required for this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the global privacy compliance programme, ensuring alignment across diverse jurisdictions.
Oversee the review of DPIAs and support risk management processes.
Engage with stakeholders across regions to ensure adherence to evolving privacy requirements.
Build and maintain a strong organisational privacy culture through training and awareness initiatives.
Manage and guide a team of privacy specialists, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with strategic objectives.
