About the Opportunity
Chambers of Shaurya Sahay (Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India and Standing Counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh) is inviting applications for the position of a Litigation Associate. The office has a dynamic litigation practice, primarily focused on matters before the Supreme Court of India, with a significant caseload representing various state governments and public sector undertakings. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in government litigation, Supreme Court advocacy, and a wide range of civil, criminal, and constitutional matters.
Eligibility

Law graduates from the batch of 2024 or 2025

Maximum of one (1) year of post-qualification experience (PQE)

Prior internship experience with litigation chambers will be a strong advantage

Strong interest in litigation, especially in criminal, constitutional, and civil law
Roles and Responsibilities

Assisting in appearances and representation for government clients before the Supreme Court of India

Coordinating with government departments to provide legal opinions and manage case instructions
-
Managing a high-volume case docket with diverse matters, including criminal and civil disputes

Working on issues such as land acquisition, stamp and registration, election disputes, and service law

Conducting legal research and drafting petitions, appeals, counter-affidavits, written submissions, and legal opinions

Performing clerical and administrative responsibilities as part of end-to-end client service
