The GNLU Centre for Sports and Entertainment Law (GCSEL) is inviting applications for its Research & Policy Internship Programme. This internship is aimed at students and young professionals who are interested in engaging with cutting-edge issues in the fields of sports and entertainment law.

Internship Details

  • Mode: Remote

  • Duration: 4 to 8 weeks

  • Start Date: Rolling basis (early applications are encouraged)

  • Focus Areas:

    • Legal and policy research

    • Drafting of reports, briefs, and articles

    • Contribution to ongoing projects at GCSEL

Context
India’s sports and entertainment sectors are undergoing rapid expansion. However, legal and policy frameworks in these areas remain underdeveloped. GCSEL has consistently taken the lead in building policy-oriented and research-driven dialogue around these domains. Interns will work on issues such as athlete governance, digital media regulation, intellectual property rights, broadcasting, and entertainment law reform.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to law students (undergraduate or postgraduate) and recent graduates

  • Demonstrated interest or prior work in sports or entertainment law is preferred but not mandatory

Application Requirements

  • Curriculum Vitae (maximum two pages)

  • Statement of Purpose (maximum 500 words)

  • Writing sample (preferably in the area of sports or entertainment law)
