About the Department
The Legal Department at AIFF is responsible for overseeing the registration, transfer, and eligibility of players across India through AIFF’s Centralised Registration System. It ensures regulatory compliance for participation in competitions sanctioned by AIFF or its affiliated units. Additionally, the department handles disputes involving players, clubs, officials, and intermediaries, and oversees disciplinary and anti-doping proceedings.

Key Responsibilities
-
Assist the Secretariat with matters related to the Disciplinary Committee and Player Status Committee
-
Record and prepare minutes of meetings
-
Draft notices and replies concerning disputes involving players, clubs, or member associations
-
Support the drafting and revision of various AIFF regulations and codes
-
Monitor age-fraud incidents and report findings to the department
-
Track matches and tournaments on the AIFF CMS and flag disciplinary concerns
Eligibility and Qualifications
-
Recent LLB graduate
-
Prior exposure to Sports Law is desirable but not mandatory
-
Strong understanding of sports, especially football
-
Experience in legal drafting and contract review
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Strong analytical and multitasking skills
-
Ability to work under pressure and in a collaborative setting
-
Willingness and fitness to travel domestically for assignments

Candidates must be based in New Delhi and report to AIFF headquarters

Selected candidates must be available to join immediately
