About V.R. Krishnan Ezhuthachan Law College

Located in Elavanchery, Palakkad, V.R. Krishnan Ezhuthachan Law College started on 8th October 2014. It is the first law college in Palakkad District and is affiliated with the University of Calicut. The college aims to promote society-based legal education and received affiliation from the Bar Council of India. The new college building was inaugurated on 21st October 2019 by the Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri Pinarayi Vijayan, in the presence of Shri K T Jalil, Minister for Higher Education, Kerala.

1st All India Moot Court Competition, 2025

V.R. Krishnan Ezhuthachan Law College will host its inaugural All India Moot Court Competition from 5th to 12th July 2025 in a hybrid format (online and offline). This event is designed to help students enhance their legal research, mooting, and advocacy skills while engaging with current legal issues. The competition will be judged by an esteemed panel of legal professionals, academicians, and members of the judiciary.

Eligibility

Open to undergraduate law students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs from Bar Council of India-recognized institutions.
Each institution can register two teams.
Teams may have 2 or 3 members (2 designated speakers and 1 researcher; or 1 speaker who is also the researcher). Teams must specify the composition during registration.
