The Journal on Development of Intellectual Property and Research (JDIPR) is a leading international academic journal that serves as a premier platform for research and insights in the fields of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Technology Law. It is the flagship journal of the Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR), which operates under the Naovina Development of Intellectual Property and Research Foundation. The journal seeks to advance the understanding and application of intellectual property laws in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. It focuses on fostering global discussions that bridge gaps between theory, practice, and policy in intellectual property and technology-driven innovations.

About Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR)
The CDIPR is India’s first non-governmental research organization dedicated to IPRs. Established under the Indian Centre for Child and Human Rights (ICCHR), it aims to promote and protect IPRs in India and contribute to the development of policies, research, and education in the field of intellectual property. CDIPR is a recognized community connecting over 2200+ members and 12,300+ global academicians focused on IPRs.

JDIPR invites original and unpublished submissions on various topics related to Intellectual Property and Technology Laws. Suggested themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Emerging Technologies
  • AI and Machine Learning: Legal and Ethical Dimensions
  • Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Patents
  • Data Protection and Privacy Laws in the Digital Age
  • Geographical Indications and Cultural Heritage
  • Cybersecurity and Intellectual Property
  • IP Challenges in the Metaverse and Virtual Reality
  • Traditional Knowledge and Benefit Sharing under IPR
  • Copyright in Digital Media and Creative Industries
  • Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts in IP

Submission Guidelines

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
  • Language: All submissions must be in English.
  • Authorship: Up to two co-authors are allowed.
  • Formatting:
    • Font: Times New Roman, size 14pt (headings), 13pt (subheadings), 12pt (body), 10pt (footnotes).
    • Line Spacing: 1.5 for the main text; single for footnotes.
    • Margins: 1-inch on all sides.
    • Alignment: Justified.
  • Citation Style: Use OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities) for referencing. Endnotes are not allowed.
  • Abstract: Each submission must include an abstract of up to 300 words summarizing the core arguments and significance of the paper.

Categories of Submissions

  • Research Articles: Comprehensive analyses or critical studies on IP-related topics (4,500–6,000 words).
  • Case Commentaries: Examination of landmark cases or recent legal decisions (2,500–4,000 words).
  • Policy Papers: Analysis of legislative reforms or policy initiatives with practical recommendations (3,000–5,000 words).
  • Book Reviews: Critical evaluations of recent publications in the field (1,500–2,500 words).

  • Notification of Acceptance: 30th May, 2025
