About Square Circle Clinic
Square Circle Clinic is a premier criminal justice initiative housed at NALSAR University of Law. With operational offices in New Delhi, Pune, Nagpur, and Hyderabad, the Clinic is dedicated to offering pro bono legal defence to death row prisoners and undertrials. It also undertakes critical research in areas such as forensic science, mental health, custodial torture, and legal aid systems.
About the Internship
The Clinic is now inviting applications for its internship programme, designed to offer in-depth exposure to pressing criminal justice issues in India. As part of this effort, the Square Circle Clinic has introduced a new internship policy to structure a meaningful and enriching experience for interns, with selections being made on a rolling basis.
Eligibility
Applicants must be students currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in law, humanities, social sciences, psychology, psychiatry, or media and communication. Preference will be given to candidates from these disciplines.
Stipend
Full-time interns will receive ₹10,000 for every 4-week term, while part-time interns will receive ₹5,000.
Duration
Internships are available on a full-time basis (ranging from 4 to 12 weeks) or part-time (with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks).
Location
Interns will be based out of the Clinic’s offices in New Delhi, Pune, or Nagpur.
