About the Opportunity

McDermott International is looking for a Counsel to serve as a legal advisor and provide day-to-day counsel for the global Supply Chain Management (SCM) function, including claims management.

Roles and Responsibilities

Align with the strategic vision of the SCM and Sustainability and Governance (S&G) teams.
Review and manage Indian projects related to claims, collaborating with legal and contracts management.
Implement proactive legal policies to minimize risks and protect the organization.
Draft, review, and negotiate vendor purchase orders, supply orders, and subcontracts.
Provide ongoing legal guidance throughout the contract lifecycle.
Collaborate with SCM and S&G teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Design and execute training programs for SCM and contracts professionals.
Assist with drafting and negotiating corporate agreements, including IT, non-disclosure, and procurement agreements.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: LLB degree from a reputed Indian university.
Experience: 5-8 years of broad legal experience in the construction, industrial, or energy industry, particularly in supply chain support, contract drafting, and negotiation.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Legal Counsel.
- Strong understanding of contract law in a business environment.
- Excellent writing, research, and commercial negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High degree of ethics and integrity, with sound judgment.
