About the Job
A corporate law opportunity is open for a Junior Associate with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). The ideal candidate will have foundational exposure to corporate and commercial law—whether through an in-house legal team or a law firm—and be ready to take on a full-time role based out of New Delhi (remote work allowed, but Delhi-based candidates only).
Eligibility Criteria
- 1–2 years of PQE in corporate and commercial law (mandatory exposure, not expertise)
- Sound understanding of fundamentals in M&A, contracts, due diligence, and company law
- A self-motivated and analytical thinker—someone who takes time to understand the nuances rather than rushing to conclusions
- Strong drafting, research, and virtual collaboration skills
- Must be based in New Delhi; work-from-home allowed but physical presence in Delhi is compulsory
Key Responsibilities
- M&A Documentation: Draft/review SPAs, SHAs, BTAs, and related agreements; advise startups/founders on fundraising transactions
- Commercial Agreements: Draft and review franchise, distribution, IT, and business contracts; develop internal policies
- Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence and prepare structured reports
- Legal Research: Analyze statutory frameworks, judicial precedents, and regulatory updates
- Company Law Compliance: Advise on governance, ROC filings, board matters, and compliance issues
Location
Remote-friendly, but the candidate must be based in New Delhi
