About The Collective for Human Rights Advocacy (CHRA)
The Collective for Human Rights Advocacy (CHRA), operating under the Centre for Human Rights and Subaltern Studies at National Law University Delhi, is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary socio-legal research in the field of human rights law. Through its platform, the CHRA blog seeks to foster academic discourse and stimulate dialogue on contemporary human rights issues, both within India and globally.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must focus on the theme “The Intersection of Law and Contemporary Human Rights.” Authors are expected to engage meaningfully with current events, analyzing their legal and humanitarian implications. To ensure that the submission is both academically rigorous and accessible, authors should consider the following:

Excerpt: A brief excerpt (max 75 words) describing the submission.

Introduction of Author(s): A short introduction about the author(s), not exceeding 50 words.

Professional Photograph: A professional photo of the author(s) in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format.

Co-authorship: Up to two authors are allowed.
Key Requirements:

Submissions must be thoroughly researched and backed by relevant legal authorities.

The writing style should be clear and accessible, understandable to both legal scholars and non-experts.

Adequate background information should be provided to ensure a wider reach and comprehension.

Submissions must be original and unpublished, with an assurance that the work will not be republished without prior approval from the CHRA Editorial Board.
Formatting Guidelines

Word Limit: 700 – 1200 words.

Hyperlinks: Include hyperlinks to relevant legal sources, including judgments, laws, treaties, or legal texts. Only link to respected legal or news sources, with the final decision on sources resting with the editors.

Footnotes: Avoid the use of footnotes.

File Format: Submissions must be in both .doc or .docx and .pdf formats.

File Naming: Name the file as “CHRA submission_Title.”

Title: The title should be descriptive and not misleading.

Anonymity: The submission must not disclose any identifying details such as the author’s name or institutional affiliation.
Mode of Submission
Submissions can only be made through the designated submission link. Any submissions made via other mediums will not be considered.
