Job Opportunity: Legal Professional – Mortgage Recovery (SARFAESI & Litigation)

About the Role
We are seeking a young, dynamic legal professional to join our mortgages portfolio legal recovery team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in the SARFAESI Act, recovery suits, possession proceedings, borrower-related legal actions including FIRs and police complaints. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growing organization handling NBFC recovery portfolios.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (3-year or 5-year in-person program).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in SARFAESI-related matters.
- Currently employed in a Bank or NBFC.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent in legal drafting, research, negotiation, and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple legal assignments efficiently.
- Language: Fluent in English; must be well-versed with litigation processes.
- Professional Standing: Registered lawyer with relevant legal experience or strong internships.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end recovery litigation and possession matters under SARFAESI Act.
- Draft and review petitions, MoUs, appeals, contracts, recovery notices, and other documents.
- Conduct legal research, client consultations, and prepare case strategies.
- Initiate legal action including FIRs and police complaints against borrowers.
- Represent the organization in various legal forums.
- Draft legal documents such as:
- Notices of Opposition
- Counter Statements
- Evidence under Rules 45, 46, and 47
- Cease and Desist Notices & Replies
- Deeds of Assignment
- Rectification Notices
