About the Organisers

The Pro Bono Club, Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, operates under the Nyaya Bandhu initiative by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The club works to enhance access to justice for marginalized communities by engaging law students in pro bono legal service, awareness, and advocacy. Its mission is to empower vulnerable communities while cultivating a sense of social responsibility in future legal professionals.

The conclave brings together legal professionals, academicians, and students for thought-provoking engagement and competitive activities focused on real-world impact.


Competitions

Pro Bono Chronicles (Report Presentation Competition)

Participants will present their institution’s pro bono or legal aid efforts, demonstrating their social impact and legal interventions.

  • Rounds:
    1. Online Draft Selection
    2. Offline Presentation Round (at the conclave)
  • Eligibility: Law students (UG/PG), Research Scholars, and PhD candidates affiliated with Pro Bono Clubs or Legal Aid Centres.

Policy Alchemy (Policy Drafting Competition)

Participants will draft practical and legally sound policy frameworks to address pressing social issues.

  • Rounds:
    1. Online Draft Submission
    2. Offline Presentation Round
  • Eligibility: Open to students (UG/PG), Research Scholars, and PhD candidates from any field.

Reframers’ Assembly (Amend Your Constitution)

Participants will propose innovative constitutional amendments to tackle contemporary socio-legal challenges.

  • Mode: Fully Online
  • Eligibility: Open to students (UG/PG), Research Scholars, and PhD candidates from any discipline.
