About the Conference

The National Conference on “Reproductive Rights & Policy Transformation”, jointly organized by the Karnataka Institute of Law and Parliamentary Reform (KILPAR) and the Gender Studies Committee, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, aims to bridge the gap between academic research and policy recommendations on gender-related legal issues.

The conference provides a platform for scholars, policymakers, legal practitioners, and students to critically analyze legal frameworks, judicial interpretations, and policy implementation in the context of contemporary challenges such as digital gender-based violence, gender-neutral laws, and the integration of international conventions into Indian jurisprudence.

Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, the conference integrates perspectives from sociology, psychology, and human rights advocacy to develop comprehensive and inclusive legal reforms.
