About IDIA Rajasthan

Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit initiative in India that empowers underprivileged students by providing access to quality legal education. Founded in 2010 by the late Prof. (Dr.) Shamnad Basheer at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, IDIA has grown into a nationwide, student-driven movement. It trains and mentors students from marginalized communities, helping them become leading lawyers and community advocates.

The IDIA Rajasthan Chapter, led by students of NLU Jodhpur, has over 67 active volunteers. The chapter conducts training sessions for law entrance exams, organizes fundraising campaigns, and hosts various events across Rajasthan, furthering IDIA’s mission of making legal education more accessible.

About NLUJ Law Review Blog

The NLU Jodhpur Law Review Blog, launched in 2023 under the flagship NLU Jodhpur Law Review Journal, has quickly established itself as a key platform for scholarly legal discourse. This digital initiative provides a space for legal experts, academics, practitioners, and students to engage in discussions on emerging legal trends, analyze significant case law, and explore contemporary socio-legal issues.

About the Essay Competition

The IDIA Rajasthan Chapter, in collaboration with IC Universal Legal, is pleased to announce the 2nd Edition of the Essay Writing Competition. This initiative seeks to foster legal scholarship on contemporary corporate law issues while also raising funds for the IDIA Charitable Trust, which supports its impactful initiatives.

Participants in the competition not only contribute to a noble cause but also have the opportunity to win prestigious rewards. The top entries will receive cash prizes, publication in the NLUJ Law Review Blog, and internship opportunities at IC Universal Legal—an esteemed law firm. These incentives encourage law students to explore critical issues in corporate governance and contribute original insights.
