The Department of Studies in Law, established in 1973, is a leading institution in Southern India known for its excellence in legal education and research. The department offers LL.M. and Ph.D. programs, fostering research in Constitutional Law, International Law, and Business & Trade Law.
Call for Papers: Intellectual Property Rights & Sustainable Urban Development
The New Urban Agenda, adopted at the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (2016), highlights the role of innovation, technology, and sustainability in urban development. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are instrumental in protecting and sharing knowledge and green technologies essential for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Department of Studies in Law invites original research papers, case studies, and policy analyses from academicians, practitioners, researchers, and students.

Submissions may focus on, but are not limited to:

Submission Guidelines
- Abstract: Maximum 150 words with a title and five keywords.
- Manuscript Length: 5,000 – 8,000 words.
- File Format: Word Document (.doc/.docx).
- Cover Letter: Must include the title, author(s) details, and contact information.
- Co-Authorship: Maximum two authors per paper.
- Plagiarism Check: All submissions will be screened for plagiarism. Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
Formatting Guidelines
- Citation Style: Bluebook 21st Edition.
- Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5.
- Footnotes: Times New Roman, Size 10, Single Line Spacing.
Selected papers will be published in the Mysore University Law Journal.
