About National Legal Rights Consortium
The National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC) is a part of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI)—a leading national business chamber empowering women entrepreneurs, businesswomen, and professionals across industries.
The Tamil Nadu Legal Rights Consortium (an arm of NLRC-WICCI) invites applications for State Legal Rights Consortium Membership (2025-26). This opportunity is open to female law students passionate about legal rights advocacy and justice.
Key Objectives of the Consortium
✔ Advocating for Legal Rights – Engaging in legal reforms and policy advocacy.
✔ Raising Awareness – Educating people about their rights.
✔ Providing Legal Assistance – Offering pro bono legal support through a network of advocates.
✔ Engaging with Legislators – Collaborating with lawmakers to influence policies.
✔ Monitoring and Reporting – Identifying and addressing human rights violations.
Eligibility Criteria
✔ Women law students enrolled in BCI-recognized universities.
✔ Resident of Tamil Nadu or studying in a Tamil Nadu institution.
✔ Prior experience in legal research, internships, or advocacy work.
✔ Skills in social media management, PR, or graphic design (Adobe, Canva preferred).
Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the President & Vice President to develop strategic plans.
Work with Consortium Members to promote legal rights awareness.
Lead community education and outreach programs.
Draft policy recommendations & legal reform proposals.
Engage with government agencies & stakeholders to advocate for legal change.
