About Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College
Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College (CMP), a distinguished constituent college of the University of Allahabad, is renowned for its excellence in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Law. With a student body of over 15,000, CMP fosters intellectual and professional growth. Its Faculty of Law, established in 1972, has produced notable legal professionals, including judges and academicians.
About the Competition
The inaugural Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2025 aims to provide a platform for law students nationwide to refine their advocacy skills. The competition will be conducted in two stages:
- Preliminary Rounds (Online) – Elimination Stage
- Advanced Rounds (Offline) – Quarter-finals, Semi-finals & Finals
Eligibility & Team Composition
- Teams must comprise two or three members (two speakers + one researcher or two speakers only).
- Open to 3-year LL.B. and 5-year integrated LL.B. students from BCI-recognized institutions.
- A maximum of two teams per institution are permitted.
- Cross-institutional teams are allowed.
- Faculty members, coaches, or observers cannot assist teams during the competition.
Competition Format
The event follows a hybrid structure:
- Preliminary Rounds – Conducted online with memorial submissions.
- Top 8 teams qualify for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, which will be held offline at CMP Degree College, Prayagraj, on April 13, 2025.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided to teams that advance to the offline rounds.
Official Language
The competition will be conducted in English.
