About the Department of Law, VGU
The Department of Law, Vivekananda Global University (VGU) is committed to interdisciplinary legal education and innovative pedagogy. As a NAAC A+ accredited institution, VGU continuously challenges conventional teaching methods and fosters a dynamic learning environment.
About the Competition
The Ranka Moot Court Competition 2025 will be conducted offline at the VGU campus and follows a knockout structure:
✔ Preliminary Rounds – All participating teams compete.
✔ Quarter-Finals – Top 8 teams advance (knockout round).
✔ Semi-Finals – Top 4 teams advance (knockout round).
✔ Final Round – Between the winners of the semi-finals.
Eligibility
Open to all law students (UG & PG) enrolled full-time as of April 1, 2025.
No cap on the number of teams per institution (subject to change if registrations exceed expectations).
Team Composition
Each team must have three (3) members:
✅ Two (2) Speakers
✅ One (1) Researcher
Prizes & Awards
Winner – ₹30,000/-
Runner-Up – ₹15,000/-
Best Speaker – ₹5,000/-
Best Researcher – ₹5,000/-
Best Memorial – ₹5,000/-
All participants receive certificates of participation.
Registration Details
Deadline: March 20, 2025
Registration Fee:
- With Accommodation: ₹5,000/-
- Without Accommodation: ₹3,000/-
 Note: If the number of registrations exceeds expectations, the organizers may restrict participation to one team per institution and may prepone the deadline for registrations.
