The National Essay Writing Competition 2025 aims to provide a platform for law enthusiasts, researchers, and writers to critically analyze and contribute to legal discourse on the theme:
“2025 Critical Analysis of the New Criminal Codes of India.”

2025 Critical Analysis of the New Criminal Codes of India

Sub-Themes:

  • Rights of Tribal Victims

  • Green Collar Crimes: Environmental Offenses

Participants must choose one of the sub-themes for their essay.

  • Word Limit: 2,000–3,000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt (main text), 10 pt (footnotes)
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 (main text), single spacing (footnotes)
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Citation Style: Bluebook (21st Edition) or OSCOLA

Selection Guidelines

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Logical flow, coherence, and grammar

Submission Guidelines

  • Essays must be original and unpublished.
  • Submit essays in PDF format through the designated submission portal.
  • Plagiarism beyond 10% will lead to disqualification.
  • File Naming Format: “Name_Theme_Title.pdf”
