About the Position
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) invites applications for the position of Associate (Legal)-A on a contract basis at its Regional Office in Chandigarh.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent degree from a recognized university/institute in India.
- Recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Experience: More than one (1) year and up to two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- Enrollment as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India or any State Bar Council under the provisions of The Advocates Act, 1961.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in handling cases related to environment, forests, biodiversity, and wildlife in a Government of India or State Government Department/Board.
- Diploma/Certificate in environmental law, forest law, or related subjects from a recognized university/institution.
