About Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad

Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLUA), established in 2017, is the newest addition to the National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. Created under the Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014, MNLUA aims to provide quality legal education and produce competent legal professionals for the Bar, Bench, and beyond.

About CADR & CICCL

Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR)

The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) promotes research, training, and awareness on ADR mechanisms, equipping students with the essential skills for negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.

Centre for International Corporate and Commercial Laws (CICCL)

The Centre for International Corporate and Commercial Laws (CICCL) focuses on corporate and commercial law research, fostering discussions on domestic and international legal trends in business and trade laws.

About the Competition

The 3rd MNLUA National Client Counselling Competition aims to test participants’ ability to understand client issues, provide legal guidance, and develop problem-solving strategies. Effective client counselling is a vital skill for lawyers, requiring both legal knowledge and communication expertise.

This edition is jointly organized by CADR and CICCL, bringing together perspectives from ADR and corporate law practice.

Eligibility

  • Open to all law students (3-year & 5-year LLB courses) from any university, law school, or college.
  • Each team must consist of two participants (Counsel 1 and Counsel 2).

Registration Details

  • Total Teams: 40 teams will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Registration Fee: ₹7,000 per team (includes accommodation and food).

Schedule

Last Date for Registration: 25th February 2025
Mandatory Online SCC Online Training Session: 8th March 2025
Preliminary & Quarter Final Rounds: 8th March 2025
Semi-Final, Final Rounds & Valedictory Ceremony: 9th March 2025
