About the University
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi was established in 2010 through Act No. 4 of the Jharkhand State Assembly. It has been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 22 (2011) and 12B (2018) of the UGC Act, 1956, and by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Since its inception, NUSRL has been a part of the CLAT consortium (from 2012) and currently has over 600 students enrolled in its undergraduate programs.

NUSRL offers a Five-year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program and has also initiated its Research Programs since January 2012. The University offers full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs, as well as Executive Diplomas in Child Rights & Protection, Mines & Minerals Law, and Tribal Law, along with a Master’s in Law and Policy. With a forward-looking academic approach, NUSRL is committed to competing on a global scale.

About the Legislative Drafting and Presentation Competition
The Centre for Policies, Laws and Agenda at NUSRL Ranchi is pleased to announce the Second Edition of the Legislative Policy Drafting and Presentation Competition. This competition is designed to help participants understand and practice the craft of legislative drafting—from issue identification to striking a balance between idealism and practical application.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of legal gaps, improve their problem-solving skills, and sharpen their legal interpretation and drafting abilities. The competition invites students from all law schools to contribute to a rich exchange of policy ideas and legal insight.

Eligibility and Team Composition

Open to all students and academicians from recognized colleges or universities
Teams may consist of up to 2 members
