The Nani Palkhivala Memorial Tax Moot Court Competition honors the legacy of Mr. Nani Palkhivala, one of India’s most esteemed legal minds. A distinguished lawyer, author, diplomat, and tax law expert, he played a pivotal role in shaping Indian taxation laws.

This annual national tax moot competition, hosted by SASTRA University’s School of Law, serves as a tribute to his exceptional advocacy skills, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of law.

Theme

Eligibility

  • Open to students enrolled in three-year LLB or five-year integrated LLB programs at any recognized university in India.
  • Each team must consist of two speakers and one researcher.

Registration Fee

  • Rs. 3540 per team, payable via National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) before 12th March 2025.

Prizes and Awards

  • Winner: Trophy + Rs. 50,000 cash prize
  • Runner-Up: Trophy + Rs. 25,000 cash prize
  • Best Memorial: Trophy + Rs. 5,000 cash prize
  • Best Speaker: Trophy + Rs. 5,000 cash prize
  • Best Researcher: Trophy + Rs. 5,000 cash prize
