With immense excitement, we announce that VidhiUtsav, The National Law Fest, organized by the School of Law at UPES, which provides an unparalleled platform for law students nationwide to showcase their skills and compete in a myriad of legal competitions is finally here. In pursuance of VidhiUtsav, the Centre for Sports Law will be organizing its
1st National Sports Law Quiz Competition.
This quiz aims to put the participant’s knowledge and quizzing instincts to the test in a series of rounds filled with legal knowledge, excitement, and ecstasy in the area of sports law. We hope you’re ready to showcase your knowledge and passion for sports legalities.
The participants will be tested on the following topics:
- Role of State in Regulating Sports
- Gender Inequality in Sports
- Doping in Sports
- Sports as Business – Sports Leagues, Image Rights & IPRs
- Betting & Gambling in Sports
- Contractual Concerns in Sports
- Sports Injury & Liability vis-à-vis Tort Law
- Dispute Resolution in Sports
- Any other theme related to Sports.
It’s an opportunity to showcase your legal knowledge and quizzing instincts in sports law.
Some further details:
- Registration fee: The registration costs are ₹300 for individuals and ₹600 for teams of two (multiple entries from a single institution are permitted).
- Total Prize Pool: ₹ 23,000
- Deadline: Register by 29th February, 2024
- Mode of Conduct: The competition will be held in Hybrid Mode comprising two rounds, i.e. The Preliminary Round (ONLINE MODE) & The Final Round (OFFLINE MODE).
- Preliminary Round: 18th March,24
- Final Round: 07th April,24
