Established in 2013, NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law (KPMSOL), Mumbai operates under NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University) and is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). About the Centre for Cyber and Artificial Intelligence (CCAI)
The Centre for Cyber and Artificial Intelligence (CCAI) at KPMSOL is a dedicated initiative aimed at addressing legal and ethical concerns in technology, cybersecurity, and AI governance. The center promotes awareness, research, and skill-building in areas such as data privacy, digital safety, cybersecurity laws, and AI regulations. It conducts seminars, workshops, and collaborative projects with industry professionals to provide students with a deeper understanding of legal frameworks like the IT Act and GDPR.
About the Competition
The 1st National Mock Trial Advocacy Competition is designed to simulate a real courtroom experience, helping law students refine their advocacy, litigation, and analytical skills. The competition emphasizes witness examination, cross-examination, and case presentation, testing participants’ ability to analyze evidence, argue persuasively, and engage in effective legal reasoning.
Teams will take on the roles of lawyers and witnesses, presenting their cases through structured legal arguments, including:
- Opening Statements
- Cross-Examinations
- Closing Arguments
Judged by experienced legal professionals, teams will be evaluated on their clarity, courtroom presence, and legal reasoning.
