About the Organiser
The Centre for Legal Research and Studies (CLRS) is a specialized division of VidhiAagaz, focused on legal education and discourse. The online platform aims to make complex legal concepts accessible to both the public and legal professionals. Through training sessions, dynamic forums, and interactive discussions, CLRS bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world practice, fostering continuous learning and legal development.
About the Workshop
The evolving landscape of arbitration in India has made the strategic use of emergency arbitration and interim reliefs critical to safeguarding rights and assets before a final award is rendered. With the proposed 2024 Amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, altering the scope of judicial intervention under Section 9, it is vital for legal practitioners to be well-versed in the latest procedural insights and international best practices.
This one-day virtual workshop is designed to provide a practical understanding of emergency relief mechanisms in arbitration. The session will focus on interactive discussions, offering insights into key procedural thresholds under Indian law and comparisons with leading institutional rules.
